With the advanced Matching Software, Olbico compares client data. This software checks the quality criteria you gave us with each record, to see if there is any similarity with another record (or even several). This is how Olbico detects the records that are unique and those that appear in you database more than once.
For Dutch business files, the Matching Software automatically links the unique registration number of the Chamber of Commerce to your client. In this way, you will recognise a company by its Chamber of Commerce registration number and know if two files relate to the same client.
Examples of the detection of duplicates
Below is an example of the same client in different databases (business client data):
Input: | Olbico output: *) |
Uw ID: 3254 Naam: Akzo Straat: Mariastraat 41 Postcode: 3531 EL Plaats: Utrecht

Figure 1: example match of business client data.
This example shows that both records have received the same Chamber of Commerce registration number. Based on this similar registration number, you can simply de-duplicate your file.
Below is an example of a similar client in different databases (private client data):
Input: | Olbico output: |
Uw ID: 65323 Naam: Dhr. J. Janssen Straat: Jan Pieterszoon Coenstraat 31 Postcode: 3531 EL Plaats: Utrecht
| Olbico ID: 100 Uw ID: 13425 Naam: Janssen Straat: JP Coenstr. 31 Postcode: Plaats: Utrecht |

Figure 2: example private client data with the washing programme 'De-duplication'.
The input file indicates that there are two different records, with two different ID numbers. Based on the quality criteria you have given us, the Olbico Matching Software has detected such a similarity, that the same ID is attributed. (In this example they both have the ID '100') Now you can decide what to do with the detected duplicate records.
